
Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas won the first Masters title of his career in Monte Carlo. Tsitsipas, the world number five, won against Russian Andrey Rublev with 6-3, 6-3. After 1:11 hours, Tsitsipas converted his first match point and did not concede a set in the entire course of the tournament. To get to the finals, Rublev defeated the Spaniard Rafael Nadal in the quarterfinals.
The win in Monte Carlo is the 22-year-old’s sixth career title and the most important after winning the 2019 ATP Finals.
