Winner of Masters in Rome

Novak Djokovic, the world number one, is the male winner of the ATP Masters in Rome. He defeated Diego Schwartzman from Argentina with 7-5 and 6-3. It was the 36th title at a Masters 1000 tournament for Novak. With the win in Rome, Djokovic leaves Rafael Nadal behind, who has only 35 titles so far. 

The female winner is Simona Halep from Romania, the world number two. Karolina Pliskova suffered from back problems during the finale because of which she had to pass at the score of 6:0, 2:1.
