The US Open is over, and the grand slam tournament in Paris is ready to start. The French Open will take place in Paris from September 27 until October 11. Different to New York, there will be spectators and fans allowed in the audience. As announced by the tournament director Guy Forget beginning of September, the tennis event will be divided into three independent clusters, the Court Simonne Mathieu, the Court Philippe Chatrier and the Court Suzanne Lenglen. In the Mathieu court, 1500 spectators are supposed to be allowed entrance. 5000 spectators each will be permitted in the Lenglen and Chatrier court. By dividing the event into three courts, more fans will be able to observe the tennis matches in person. It will be mandatory for everyone to wear masks, and it will not be possible to switch between the courts. All tennis players will be accommodated in two hotels.
Many tennis fans are very excited about the French Open to start. And for sure it is the same for Andy Murray, the three-time Grand Slam winner. Same as for the US Open he received a wildcard for Paris as announced yesterday.
