Who wants to be the owner of a Formula 1 race track?

Anyone who would like to own a Formula 1 race track and who has the required pocket money could become the proud owner of a race track in Mont-Tremblant, in the province of Quebec of Canada. The track was the venue for the Canadian GP of the premier class in 1968 and 1970.

Bids can still be submitted until April 15.

Lawrence Stroll, the Aston Martin team owner, offers the Mont-Tremblant race track for sale, as reported by the trade magazine “Le Guide de l’auto.” The magazine also says that the local government estimates the total value of the 123-hectare site at $8.5 million. Mont-Tremblant currently hosts the Canadian Karting Championship and is also the headquarters of various automobile and motorcycle clubs.

Since Stroll bought the track in 2000, he had numerous modernization measures carried out to bring it into line with current FIA standards. A new timing tower and medical facilities have also been added.

According to the tender, the line is “fully functional” and offers “further development opportunities”.
