Unai Emery was unable to shoulder the burden of succeeding Arsène Wenger at FC Arsenal. In his opinion, this is also due to a former love affair.
Former Arsenal coach Unai Emery is said to have blamed his ex-girlfriend for his failure with the Gunners, which ended in his dismissal.
“He blamed me for his expulsion. He told me I was a witch and had brought him so much bad luck,” Sacha Wright told The Sun in an interview.
Emery succeeded Arsenal legend Arsène Wenger in the summer of 2018. He met Wright shortly after he arrived in London. In November 2019, the Spaniard was released after his relationship, which had been on ice for some time, finally broke up in March.
“He said, ‘the day we broke up, we started to lose each other’,” says the ex-girlfriend. “He was so stressed that his mind was out of place after we broke up.”
Emery has been out of a job since he left the Gunners. The 48-year-old has won the Europa League three times in a row with Sevilla FC and became French champions and cup winners with PSG.
