After six glasses of red wine, tennis professional Nick Kyrgios has effusively praised his competitor and good friend Andy Murray.
In a live chat on Instagram, he admitted that “my knowledge and interest in red wine have increased incredibly during the quarantine“. Maybe the new passion for wine, was that made him add, “I think you’re better than Djokovic“. Kyrgios clashed with Djokovic previously. He had described the Serb’s celebrations after victories as “extremely embarrassing”, Djokovic replied that Kyrgios has a “sick obsession with wanting to be liked“.
We all know that the Australian loves to make provocative statements, and he proofs precisely that once again. World number one, Djokovic had played “dodgeball” on his serves and “tried to avoid them”. Murray, on the other hand, tried to hit winners directly.
Murray’s reply was cooler and diplomatic, saying that “the results suggest the opposite”. Djokovic leads with 25:11 wins in the direct duel with Murray.
