FC Liverpool is Premier League Champion!

Jürgen Klopp has finally made himself immortal at FC Liverpool: for the first time in 30 years, the Reds are English champions again. Was that just the beginning?

Without having played, the Reds became the earliest champions in Premier League history on Thursday night when Manchester City lost at Chelsea 1-2. Never before has a club been crowned English champion seven matchdays before the end of the season – five was the previous record (Manchester United 2000/01, Manchester City 2017/18).

The Reds only failed to win three of their 31 matches of the season, have not lost a point at Anfield and have not lost a single league match at home since April 2017. Klopp, the first German championship coach in England, has been “Coach of the Month” five times since the start of the season, although the title was last awarded in February. Should his team fail to break the 100-point record set by ManCity in 2018, it would be a miracle, not the other way around.
