FC Bayern one Step Closer to the next Championship Title

With the 13th mandatory success in a row, the German record champion has come another step closer to his 8th championship title in a row

Bayern coach Hansi Flick had to do without his two top scorers, Lewandowski and Müller as they were both suspended due to yellow cards.

Gladbach was on a par with the substitute weakened Bayern throughout the entire match and even scored the first goal of the game, even though it was denied by referee Zwayer after VAR.

Both teams missed some big chances before FC Bayern scored the 1:0. In the 26th minute, Zirkzee switched quickly after a slip-up by Sommer and put the ball in a cool manner from about 20 meters into the empty goal. But even after the leading goal the foals showed themselves unimpressed and were able to equalize before the break in the 37th minute. The goal was scored by Pavard, a player from the FCB.

In the second half, the game continued to be fast-paced, with numerous chances on both sides and a slight Gladbach superiority. Towards the end of the game, however, things were a little more relaxed. In the end, it was the duo of Pavard and Goretzka who sealed the Munich victory in the 86th minute.

Should the Bavarians also secure 3 points in the upcoming away game at SV Werder Bremen on Tuesday, they would be German champions again ahead of schedule.
