Last Friday, 10 July 2020, the remaining 12 UEFA Champions League contenders got to learn what and who stands between them and the trophy.
Let’s look at those teams that already qualified for the quarter-finals first. On Wednesday 12 August, Atalanta Bergamo (ITA) will face Paris Saint-Germain (FRA), at the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica (PT). The following day, on Thursday 13 August, RB Leipzig (GER) will be playing Atlético Madrid (ESP), at Estádio José Alvalade (PT).
On Friday 14 August we will then see SSC Napoli (ITA) or FC Barcelona (ESP) playing either FC Chelsea (ENG) or Bayern München (GER) at Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica. Right, now it looks pretty safe to say that Bayern München will either play Barca or Napoli since the Bavarians defeated Chelsea 0-3.
And on Saturday 15 August, Real Madrid (ESP) or Manchester City (ENG) will face either Olympique Lyon (FRA) or Juventus Turin (ITA) at Estádio José Alvalade. As it stands right now, Lyon would face Manchester City since Lyon defeated Juve 1-0 while Real Madrid lost 1-2 against City.
The UEFA Champions League draw is complete! 🙌
