Adria Tour: Who has to be blamed?

Following the Corona fiasco at the Adria Tour, the question is who to blame for the positive test results of some players. It seems that Novak Djokovic’s father has the answer. In a TV interview, Srdjan Djokovic accused Grigor DimitrovHe is the one to blame. He has extremely damaged the relations between Serbia and Croatia“, Djokovic stated. 

The Bulgarian tennis professional Grigor Dimitrov was the first to announce his infection with the coronavirus after participating in the Adria tour organized by Novak Djokovic, see our previous posts. Later on the Croatian Borna Coric, the Serb Viktor Troicki and also Novak Djokovic confirmed a positive COVID-19 test result. The remaining Adria Tour sections were then cancelled.  

Srdjan Djokovic says that “Dimitrov had not been tested at the second tour station Zadar, but elsewhere before“. He also added, “Dimitrov got sick, he knows where, and now he has done great harm to our country and our family“.

Dimitrov joined the Adria Tour at its second section in Zadar where he played one match only that he lost.

Asked about Noval, Djokovic senior said, that he feels “not good at all, nobody feels good, but we will come out of it stronger”.
